  • My Writing Outlet

In times past I can remember Xanga being the cool thing to do. Everyone had one and therefore, I must have one also. However, to get a Xanga page it had to be approved by my parents, not an easy obstacle to overcome. At the time it seemed as if I would simply fade into oblivion if I was not allowed to have the coveted Xanga page. After a great deal of prodding, begging and, sometimes, screaming - Okay no screaming - I was awarded my prize; a shiny new Xanga page to call my very own.

Time has now passed and the importance of Xanga has faded from prominence. It was overtaken by the hated Myspace. I fought the process with all my energy but one by one, friends left poor Xanga for the promised land of Myspace. Myspace reigned for a couple long years and into the picture rode Facebook, sporting a cleaner and more personal outlet for the blogging generation. Though Facebook has "Notes" in which one could express a more extended form of blogging, I was unable to ascertain the feel of the beloved Xanga. So, with thoughts and words crying to get out of my mind, I return to Xanga. My deepest thoughts and contemplations will be expressed, regardless of the audience. Those who find my writing outlet interesting and/or thought provoking however, are more than welcome to leave feedback.

    Verse of the Day:
"I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure." Psalm 16:8-9
